Chaos in PTI chief’s lawyer murder case as complainant disputes bench.
Case about the PTI chief appeal regarding the inclusion of his name in the murder of lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar was heard by a three-member court led by Justice Yahya Afridi.
The former prime minister, who is presently incarcerated in the Toshakhana case, was represented in court by Latif Khosa, the PTI leader. The senior attorney was asked by Justice Afridi if he had read the report of the investigating officer.
Amanullah Kunrani, the attorney for the complainant, complained to the bench. He stated that Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, a bench member, is the subject of ongoing litigation before the Sindh High Court.
You are disparaging my reputation. Which legal matter do I have on the go? Hasan Azhar Rizvi, a judge, remarked.
I will make arguments if you are appointed as a judge. The lawyer responded I will say something else if you wish to be a party.
Justice Mazahir Naqvi allegedly wrote a letter to the Chief Justice asking him to take suo moto notice of the election matter, according to Amanullah Kunrani.
The court noted that Amanullah Kunrani’s conduct differs from that of senior solicitors. The attorney then extended a sincere apology to the court.
Justices Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Mazahar Naqvi, however, declined to accept the apologies. I withdraw my charges,” Kunrani replied, folding his hands.
The apology was accepted by Justice Yahya Afridi. If there is a case or FIR against me, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi has called for proof of it. The court held off on deciding whether to accept the apology.
The arrest of Chairman PTI in the murder case of Quetta was postponed by the Supreme Court till August 24. The judge postponed the session after stating that no more action could be taken today.
