After “Fruit Boycott” Campaign, Fruit Prices Decreased in Karachi

Social media has been flooded with posts calling for a boycott of fruit vendors. Who are charging more than the set pricing. Others are pushing others to join the protest by using the hashtag #BoycottFruits, which has been trending on social media.

Pakistanis, who believe they are being overcharged for necessities because the sellers don’t adhere to the government-set fixed pricing list, have overwhelmingly supported the initiative.

The effort to boycott fruit to fight inflation has continued to be effective, and residents of Karachi have noticed a dramatic decrease in fruit prices. Numerous users of social media praise the effort and report the improvement in fruit prices as a result of the promotion.

According to a number of Karachi residents, the city’s fruit prices have decreased by 50% to 70%.
