Federal Government Announced Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 Holidays

Federal govt has announced 4 days of holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024.

The federal government has announced a four-day holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024, which will begin from April 10 (Wednesday).

According to the notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the holidays will start from April 10, but their duration will depend on whether the offices work five or six days a week.

The holidays for five-day-a-week offices will last till April 12, while the six-day-a-week offices will have holidays till April 13.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif approved the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays on Wednesday and gave four days of holidays on this occasion.

Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal. The official announcement of the date of Eid will be made after the meeting of the Sawit Hilal Committee to sight the moon on 29th of Ramadan.

This year, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be on April 10 or April 11.

Eid is an important festival in the Islamic calendar. Muslims around the world observe a month-long fast that ends with the joys of Eid.

The Shawwal moon is expected to be visible on April 9 across the nation, according to the Meteorological Department once more.

The department predicted that the Eid moon would rise on April 8 at 11:21 pm (local time), conjunct with the sun.

The moon would be 19 to 20 hours old on April 9 and visible to the unaided eye for roughly 50 minutes following sunset. It stated that April 10 will be Shawwal’s first.

According to the Met Office’s forecast, the sky will probably be clear in the country’s southern areas while it might be foggy in the northern ones.
