Five Police Officers on Polio Duty in Bajaur are Killed by Bomb Blast

Bomb blast in northwest Pakistan kills 5 police personnel, injures 10.

Peshawar War Rescue and police authorities report that a bomb blast in northwest Pakistan that targeted security forces resulted in the deaths of at least five police officers and the injuries of ten more.

According to reports in the local media, a police car was the target of a bomb ein Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Afghanistan, in the Mamund tehsil of the Bajaur district.

The police were attacked in the midst of a new wave of terrorism while they were stationed to guard polio vaccination crews.

Since several of the injured were in serious condition, it was reported that more deaths were anticipated as a result of the terror attack.

Dead bodies and injured people were transported by rescuers and military personnel to Khar Hospital, where an emergency was proclaimed.
