Pak Suzuki Announces Production Plant Closure

Pak Suzuki Motor to shut production from Jan 2-6, reports ARY News.

Pak Suzuki Motors informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in a letter that the manufacture of vehicles and motorbikes will be fully halted from January 2 to 6. The management opted to shut down due to a conditional license for auto parts and completely knocked down (CKD) kits imports. According to the automaker.

The company asserted that the State Bank of Pakistan’s restrictions is harming its supply chain (SBP).
According to the corporation, conditional approval is impacting export consignments, and the restriction has destroyed inventory.

Earlier this month, Indus Motor Company (IMC) announced a 10-day shutdown of its manufacturing unit due to the central bank’s restriction on the import of completely knocked down (CKD) kits.
Toyota’s manufacturer, Indus Motor Company, has declared a 10-day shutdown of its manufacturing factory from December 20 to December 30.

It added that the decision was made following the State Bank of Pakistan’s ban on the import of fully knocked down (CKD) kits (SBP). Import limitations exacerbated the difficulties of vehicle manufacture by causing a scarcity of raw materials required to run manufacturing plants on a daily basis.
