Shah Rukh Khan Comeback in Bollywood with ‘Jawan’ Release in September

Shah Rukh Khan announced ‘Jawan’ film release date: June 2 to Sept 7.

The announcement comes after weeks of speculation over the film’s release date. Shah Rukh Khan announced in a video posted to his social media, the film ‘Jawan’ was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The delay in the release of Jawan is attributed to the film’s visual effects taking longer than intended to complete. Until recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, was apparently seeking visual effects professionals for the movie. Jawan’s production was recently completed, and a song sequence was shot in Mumbai.

Jawan is an action film directed by Atlee, who is most recognized for his work in Tamil cinema. After playing romantic heroes throughout his career, SRK has stated his desire to become an action star. The trailer for the film, which was published last year, piqued viewers’ interest with SRK’s unique appearance and the teaser’s foreboding tone. The title “Jawan” is also open to interpretation, as it could signify “young” or “soldier” in Hindi.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for a big comeback in 2023. His most recent film, Pathaan, marked his comeback to starring parts after a five-year hiatus.

After his 2018 movie, the ambitious romantic drama Zero tanked critically and commercially, the celebrity chose to take a break from performing. Keeping a quiet profile throughout the COVID era, however, paid off, as his fans came out in droves to see Pathaan, which ended up being the highest-grossing Hindi-language film of all time in India.
