Private plane of Russia rebel group Vigan crash northwest of the city.
In northwest Russia, a commercial airliner carrying ten people reportedly crashed under unknown circumstances, killing all on board, including leader Yevgeny Prigozhin.
According to the Russian government, the head of the Wagner group was also on board, adding that no survivors were reported.

In June of that year, Yevgeny Prigozhin declared a coup against the Russian president over the Ukraine war, and thousands of his officers immediately began marching toward Moscow.
The rebel group later agreed to a ceasefire after the intervention of the Belarusian president, after which they returned to their positions.
