2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Hybrid Unveiled Globally

Toyota has finally announced 250 Series Land Cruiser Prado for 2024.

The GA-F form of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) is shared by the Prado, 300 Series Land Cruiser, and current Lexus GX and LX. Compared to its predecessor, the new Prado is 30% more stiff overall and features a frame that is 50% more rigid.

With the Light Duty model, the Japanese automaker went “back to the basics” in order to create a “simple and sturdy vehicle that can be trusted by customers to fulfil their lifestyle choices and practical needs”.

It’s obvious that the vehicle’s traditional styling and boxy, upright proportions were inspired by the present Lexus GX.

In comparison to the standard Land Cruiser 1958 and the Land Cruiser with rectangular headlights in the medium trim, the FJ62 and the highest-end variant stand out visibly. There is also the 2024 Land Cruiser First Edition, which was produced in a limited quantity of 5,000 units. Thanks to its larger wheels and other characteristics, it appears more durable and off-road ready than the conventional model.

The seven conventional colour schemes are Black, Meteor Shower, Wind Chill Pearl, Ice Cap, Underground, Trail Dust, and Heritage Blue, with the last two being available with a different roof.

A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 14-speaker JBL audio, a digital rearview mirror, a sunroof, heated and ventilated leather seats, and a head-up display (HUD) are among the extra options available. The base model includes conveniences like wireless charging, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats.

Powertrain for the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado:

The i-Force Max Hybrid system is comprised of a 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-4 engine and a 1.9 kWh battery pack. It contains an integrated electric motor and an eight-speed automated gearbox. All-wheel drive (AWD) is included as standard equipment, and the drivetrain generates 326bhp and 630Nm.

It sports an entirely new double-wishbone front suspension with twin-tube shocks and a multi-link system in the back. It is built on a TNGA-F ladder frame chassis.

A Multi-Terrain Select system, a Multi-Terrain Monitor, a Crawl Control mode, an electronic locking rear differential, a Front Stabiliser Bar Disconnect System and Downhill Assist Control are also included.
