According to Australian media, 65-year-old hunter Kevin Darmody went fishing in north Queensland on Saturday with a group that allegedly scared off a crocodile so he could start fishing.
According to Cairns Police Inspector Mark Henderson, other people fishing with the bar management shouted at him, shouting loudly followed by a large splash of water.

Henderson described it as a tragic ending. She said the man was a very nice fellow from Laura, a town in rural north Queensland, which has a population of about 130 people.
