South Korean police capture British man who scale 73 stories of Seoul.
George King-Thompson, the guy, is a well-known free climber. He had already served a three-month prison sentence for scaling London’s Shard Skyscraper in 2019.
Over 90 police, fire, and emergency workers were sent to the location on Monday morning after the individual was seen climbing the Lotte World Tower.
He reportedly made it to the 73rd story of the structure without the use of any equipment but was ultimately taken down using a gondola lift, according to the Seoul fire department.
At roughly 7:20 a.m. local time, he was spotted scaling the structure using nothing but climbing chalk.
Even after the firefighters came at 8 am, he resumed his effort at climbing. The individual was seen mounting the building in a video that was shot from within a bedroom in the building.
