Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, who was aware of the terrible incident, denounced the assault and expressed sorrow over the police officers killing.
The two female volunteers who worked with the polio vaccination teams, according to the authorities, were unharmed.
The incident was described by the chief minister as a plot against the children’s bright future.
CM Bizenjo instructed the relevant authorities to employ all means at their disposal to apprehend those responsible for the attack.
It is significant to note that a week-long campaign to administer polio vaccinations to more than 2.6 million children under the age of five started on August 1, according to the director of the province’s polio eradication program.
11,539 teams of healthcare professionals have been organized for the seven-day campaign, according to Syed Zahid Shah, the coordinator of the province Emergency Operation Centre.
