Residents of the University of Nigeria area said members of armed gangs attacked the federal university and kidnapped students in Gida village outside the state capital, Gosau.
According to reports, this is the first mass abduction since the assumption of power by the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Musa, a local Sahabi of Sabon Gida, claimed that the motorcycle-borne kidnappers broke the windows of the hostel rooms and entered the students before taking them hostage.
