London schools ban phones, citing the impact on children’s education.
United Kingdom Education Minister Glenn Keegan reportedly said that banning students from using mobile phones devices in class is aimed at improving student behavior. Students will not be allowed to use their smartphones even during breaks.
According to him, the government encourages students to focus on their school work. The purpose of this ban is to keep students engaged in academic activities. It will also benefit the teachers who go to great lengths to support children in schools.
It should be noted that earlier in Britain, France, Italy and Portugal, students have been banned from using mobile phones in class.
According to a United Nations review, the use of mobile phones while studying affects students’ performance and ability.
