Another 6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan

Powerful earthquake hit northwest Afghanistan strong tremors in Kabul.

According to the International News Agency, the earthquake that hit northwestern Afghanistan early in the morning was so strong that the intensity reached 6.3 on the Richter scale.

The Seismological Center estimates that the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km. The Afghan city of Herat is 28 km from the epicenter.

A recent earthquake in Afghanistan claimed over 4,000 lives and left more than 9,000 people injured.

The spokesman for the Afghan Disaster Management Authority reports that the earthquake in Herat province has completely destroyed 2,000 houses, and relief operations continue in the affected districts.
