According to international news sources, the US Food and Drug Administration has advised consumers not to use blood pressure monitoring devices that do not require skin piercing, such as smart watches or smart rings.
According to experts, they are aimed at preventing producers, suppliers and retailers from selling devices that illegally detect blood sugar levels.

Experts point out that these gadgets display data from Food and Drug Administration-approved blood glucose meters, which sets them apart from smartwatch applications.
