Rain Forecast, Sindh CM has Imposed Rain Emergency

Karachi: Rain forecast Sindh, Chief Minister imposed rain emergency.

In view of the Forecast of heavy rain in Sindh including Karachi, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah imposed a rain emergency in the province.

According to the sources, Murad Ali Shah has put all local bodies, administration and hospitals on high alert.

Meanwhile, it has also been decided to give leave after half a day of work in public and private institutions in Karachi yesterday.

Chief Minister Sindh said that there is a possibility of 3 to 4 spells of rain in Karachi after 2 pm, people are requested not to leave their homes unnecessarily tomorrow.

Vacation of Rescue Staff Cancelled:

On the other hand, Director General Sindh Emergency Rescue Service issued strict instructions to cancel the leave of rescue personnel and ensure full attendance.

Director General Sindh Emergency Rescue Service 1122 Dr. Abid Jalaluddin chaired a meeting regarding dealing with rain emergency situation.

Rescue 1122 Headquarters Karachi was attended by Emergency Officers, Station Incharge, Communication Officers and Media Coordinator, while Emergency Officer Hyderabad and Nawabshah, Emergency Officer Larkana, Station Incharge Sukkur and Communication Officer Mirpur Khas participated through video link.

The Director General of Rescue directed that wherever the service of Rescue 1122 is restored, including Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana and Sukkur, the staff should ensure their presence in Karachi and other districts of Sindh.

Director General Rescue Sindh said that the emergency officer and station in-charge of each district are instructed to be in full contact with the district administration.

He further said that water rescue vehicle and rescue personnel should be ready to deal with rain emergency or flood situation.

He said that the 3 days ahead of the rain emergency alert issued by the Sindh government are the most important, all the staff should perform their duties at their respective rescue stations with armed forces.

Director General Rescue Sindh said that our first priority is to serve and protect the public.

Meteorological Department:

t should be noted that yesterday, the Meteorological Department predicted heavy rain in Karachi on March 1 and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority had issued an alert in view of torrential rains.

The Disaster Management Authority of Sindh had said in its statement that from February 29 to March 2, stormy rains may occur in Sindh, which may damage poles, crops and solar panels.

According to the sources, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that there will be moderate and heavy rain in Karachi on March 1st till late at night.

He said that the temperature of the city is also likely to fall for the next three to four days from March 1.
