According to sources, the name of HBL President and CEO Muhammad Aurangzeb has emerged as a strong candidate for the Finance Ministry post. After which the name of Senior League leader Ishaq Dar has been dropped from the race of Finance Minister.

According to sources close to the newly elected Prime Minister, the Finance Ministry will be entrusted to Muhammad Aurangzeb.
In this regard, talking to a private TV channel yesterday, League leader Mossadegh Malik said that Muhammad Aurangzeb will play an important role in the new cabinet. The decision regarding the economic team will be taken by the Prime Minister, he will definitely consult Ishaq Dar in this regard.
Mossadegh Malik added that the government will not allow the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program to be delayed. It is true that Muhammad Aurangzeb would have a key position in the economic team.
It should be noted that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was not present in the review meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday, but former Petroleum Minister Senator Mossadegh Malik came to consult.
