In a tragic incident, Algerian football player Waseem Jazar died of a head injury during a match on Sunday.
17-year-old Wasim Jazzar was a player of Wadi Al-Amaa Club, who fell to the ground and died after being hit on the head by a ball during a match against Amal Marawana Club on Sunday.

In the video clip, the football was seen hitting the young player’s head. The teenager was taken to hospital where he remained in a coma for a week.
The Algerian Football Federation announced the death of the player, calling it a great loss.
Wadi El Maa footballer Jazzar was kicked by an opponent and sustained a serious head injury. Jazzar remained unconscious despite rapid attempts to administer treatment on the scene, and because the ambulance took longer to arrive, he had to be taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
For almost two weeks, doctors fought to preserve the young athlete’s life, but their efforts were in vain, and Jazzar passed away too soon.
