Actress Mehwish Hayat has called for more representation of women in Pakistani media.
Renowned actress Mehwish Hayat has called for more representation of women in the media, saying that filmmakers should give more importance to women’s stories on the big screen.
In a recent podcast, Mehwish Hayat said that although she usually works on only one project a year, her work is quite visible. Women in the media should be assigned to positions like police officers, doctors and lawyers that promote constructive social change.

She said that my career is barely twelve or fifteen years old, but people think that I have been working for twenty years because of the impact of my work.
Regarding her future aspirations, the actress said that I want to be in showbiz for the next 20 years and my goal is to inspire and motivate women to move forward.

It should be noted that Mehwish Hayat has gained a lot of fame in the acting, modeling and singing industries. She was born on January 6, 1988 in Karachi. In 2019, she received Pakistan’s highest honor, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. After making her cinema debut in “Namul Loog”, Mehwish Hayat worked in famous films like “Punjab Nahi Jaungi” and “London Nahi Jaunga“.
