Alia Bhatt debut in Hollywood film “Heart of Stone” with Jamie Dornan.
The group is actively promoting the film Heart of Stone ahead of its August 11 Netflix debut. The question, “Is Alia Bhatt British?” was one of the most frequently searched queries about her during a recent promotional interview.
Gal Gadot teased Alia in a video interview with Wired about her British citizenship. While Alia’s mother was born in Birmingham, England, she was actually born and reared in India. She claimed that her grandmother’s accent was impacted by the fact that she spent her entire life in England.
I was born and raised in India, despite the fact that my mother was born in Birmingham, Alia claimed. Alia said, “My grandmother lived in England for her entire life so my grandmother has the English accent,” to Gal’s question, “She spoke British English with you your entire life?”
In a statement, Alia shared her thoughts on working on her first-ever internationally project, saying, “For me, this was a tremendously huge chance, my first Hollywood picture. Additionally, I was aware that this project was unique after seeing Gal’s superb work.
In the action-packed movie Heart of Stone, Alia plays the part of Keya, a tech prodigy. Tom Harper, the film’s director, hailed her as a “formidable talent” and emphasised the intriguing interplay between Keya and Gal Gadot’s character Rachel Stone.
Despite being born in the UK, Alia spent the majority of her life in India, as her mother Soni Razdan has previously stated.
The Netflix release of “Heart of Stone” is set for August 11.
