America said Sunday will not join any Israeli counter attack on Iran.
America stated Sunday that it will not join any Israeli Attack on Iran, with President Joe Biden advising Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “think carefully” before any escalation.
The White House stated that Biden did not want a bigger war after assisting important partner Israel in repelling a massive aerial onslaught by Tehran, which was in response to a supposed Israeli strike that killed an Iranian general near Damascus.
“We’re not looking for a wider war with Iran,” White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told NBC’s “Meet the Press,” adding that the US does not “want to see this escalate.”

Kirby stated that Netanyahu was “well aware” of Biden’s emotions after the two leaders spoke on Saturday, while Iran’s extraordinary attack was still underway.
Iran fired more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel late Saturday, injuring 12 people, according to the Israeli military.
According to US sources, American jets shot down around 70 drones, while US ships shot down four to six ballistic missiles.
However, a senior Biden administration official confirmed that Biden told Netanyahu that the United States would not provide any military assistance against Iran.
“We would not be a part of any response they do,” the official told reporters over the phone, asking for anonymity. “We would not envision ourselves participating in such an act.”
Israel’s largest military supplier and a proponent of an end to the Gaza conflict was also attempting to steer the situation away from further escalation.
“A major issue is not just whether, but also what actions Israel might decide to take; thus, this decision rests with them,” said an official from the Biden administration.
‘Carefully and Strategically’
Biden and Netanyahu spoke during a “heightened emotion” period while the strikes were still underway and “discussed trying to slow things down.”
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, “explicitly told the prime minister last evening that we need to consider the risks of escalation thoughtfully and strategically.”
Israel was on high alert Sunday after Iran launched an unprecedented attack, raising fears of a wider battle.
It signified a significant escalation in the long-running clandestine conflict between the regional rivals.
Almost all Iranian drones and missiles were intercepted before they reached Israeli soil, according to the Israeli army, with assistance from the US, Jordan, Britain, and other allies.
Kirby called it an “incredible effort by Israel,” but it also demonstrated that Iran is not the military powerhouse it claims to be.
He also mentioned that the United States is “remaining alert” to any threats from Iran directed at American forces.
“We clearly communicated to all parties, including Iran, our intended actions… and how seriously we regard any possible threats to our personnel,” Kirby informed reporters.
Continuing his tour of the Sunday morning political talk shows with an interview on CBS, Kirby elaborated: “We’re going to take whatever steps we need to take to protect our troops, ships, and facilities in the region going forward.”
Kirby also stated that negotiations between Hamas and Israel on a truce in Gaza and a hostage release arrangement were still ongoing.
“We’re not considering diplomacy dead there,” he went on to say.
Kirby stated that CIA Director Bill Burns negotiated a fresh deal in Cairo approximately a week ago that would “get dozens of the most at-risk women, elderly, and wounded out, and get us a six-week ceasefire.”
“The Hamas leaders should accept that accord. And we don’t consider this dead at this time.”
