AML President Sheikh Rasheed loses both National Assembly constituency.
As to a concession statement released by his nephew Rashid Shafeeq, Awami Muslim League (AML) President Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed loses both of the National Assembly constituencies in Rawalpindi to independent candidates endorsed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In NA-56 and NA-57, Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed conceded defeat, according to Shafeeq’s statement. He gave Shehryar Riaz and Seembia Tahir, the winners, his congratulations. “While we are disappointed by our loss, we are also relieved that the PML-N did not win these seats,” he remarked.
