Recent violence in Kabul: Armed men attack hotel popular with Chinese.
According to the sources, a fire started on one of the levels of the hotel in central Kabul as the shooting attack was still going on, and they added that they anticipate casualties.
A journalist from Afghanistan in Kabul shared a video on Twitter that was authenticated and showed smoke coming from a multi story structure with one of the bottom floors on fire.

According to reports, armed assailants broke into the Hotel Shahr-e-Naw in Kabul’s upscale Sharenow neighborhood. According to accounts, the assailants are still inside the hotel. Security troops from the Taliban have surrounded the location, and a gunfight has continued there since the latest attack reports arrived.
