The members of Khan’s legal team confirmed that the IHC’s orders to transfer Khan from the Attock jail, where he had been detained for more than a month, to Adiala prison had been followed.

Naeem Panjhota, Khan’s legal affairs spokesperson, asserted that the former premier, who was ousted from office by a legislative vote in April of last year, had been transferred to the prison in Adiala.

Khan had not yet been transferred to Adiala jail, according to the administration of the prison.

Panjhuta later claimed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he had learned Imran Khan had been transferred to Adiala’s jail, but added that it was “beyond comprehension” that the “authorities” at Attock’s jail were also claiming to hold the PTI leader.

Heavy police contingents arrived at the Attock jail earlier today to transfer Khan to the Adiala prison. Khan was transported from Attock’s to Adiala’s jail by an 18-vehicle convoy, which included two armored vehicles, an ambulance, and 15 vehicles of the Islamabad police.
