Imran khan Urged to Postpone Long March for MDCAT Exams

PMA request Khan to postpone long march for MDCAT exam on November 13.

The MDCAT exams has already been delayed by two months, and the new deadline was just announced. Rumours about the test’s cancellation had finally died down as of last Saturday, when PMC issued a statement confirming that it would take place as planned.

In his letter, PMC President Lt Col (retd) Ghulam Shabbir emphasised the delay, stating that if the test is delayed further, the school year for students will be lost.

He also mentioned that students and parents are concerned about getting to exam centres due to protests in Punjab. Given these considerations, the PMC chief requested that the long march be postponed until 4 p.m. on November 13.

PTI’s Long March Approaches

As the start of the PTI’s long march approaches, the party’s central leaders decided Wednesday to march from the same spot in Wazirabad where party chairman Imran Khan was injured during an attempted assassination.

During a meeting presided over by Khan in Lahore, the PTI decided that the “Haqeeqi Azadi” march would proceed toward Rawalpindi from the location of a public gathering.

The PTI said in a statement that party leaders from Faisalabad and other parts of the country would advance toward Rawalpindi in groups, with more convoys arriving in the third week of November.

According to the party’s briefing, a three-member probe committee will be formed by tomorrow and will provide an investigation conducted by local police to the joint investigation team.

Following its meeting, the PTI stated that it has only one demand: elections be held as soon as possible. The party has also demanded that all assemblies be dissolved and that a path be paved for immediate elections in all four provinces.

During the meeting, party members also passed a resolution in support of Khan, with all elected PTI members in the Centre, four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan requesting the Supreme Court to file a first information report (FIR) in response to the attack on their party chief.

Iran Developed Hypersonic Ballistic Missile

Iran Developed Hypersonic Ballistic Missile

Iran announces successful development of hypersonic ballistic missile.

“This Iran Ballistic Missile can manoeuvre into and out of the atmosphere and travels at a high speed. It represents a significant generational development in the area of missiles and will target the adversary’s superior anti-missile systems “It was reported that commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.

Hypersonic missiles have a complicated trajectory and may travel at least five times faster than the speed of sound, making them challenging to intercept.

There haven’t been any reports of Iran testing such a missile, despite the Islamic Republic of Iran has a sizable domestic armaments sector.

But the US decision to leave the nuclear agreement that Tehran signed with other nations in 2015 was made in 2018 by then-President Donald Trump in part because of worries over Iran’s ballistic missile programme.

According to official media, Iran this week reported testing the Ghaem 100, a first-of-its-kind three-stage space launch vehicle that can deliver 80 kg (180 pounds) satellites into orbits 500 km (300 miles) above the planet’s surface.

Given that it thinks space launch vehicles may be used to convey a nuclear weapon, the United States has labelled such operations as “destabilising.”

England Players Trust on The Security Recommendations Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes confirm England testing in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi.

England captain Ben Stokes called the attack on former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan last week a “shock” but added that the squad trusts the direction of security chief Reg Dickason before the three-test series in Pakistan that will start next month.

Former cricketer and prime minister Khan, who was ousted in April, was shot in the leg six days into a protest procession headed toward Islamabad.

Upcoming Test Matches of ENG And PAK

In December, test matches between England and Pakistan are scheduled for Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi. However, bowler Mark Wood voiced reluctance to travel to Pakistan following the incident.

Naturally, what happened there last week was a little frightening to witness, but Reg Dickason has been there, Stokes informed the media.

Reg Dickason is Trusted By England Players

He’s the best person, in my opinion, to analyze the problem… Reg is a man you can trust with your life, therefore the players and the others traveling with him will completely believe anything he says.

A scheduled white-ball tour of Pakistan in September of last year was postponed by both England and New Zealand because to security concerns.

Since an attack by Islamist extremists on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009 that killed six policemen and two civilians, international teams have largely avoided Pakistan.

Critics Ought To Now Relax Babar Azam

Men in Green decision, open partnership, scrutinized by ex-cricketers.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, poked fun at the team’s detractors by telling them to “enjoy” now that they had advanced to the T20 World Cup final.

The Same Starting Batting Pair

The Men in Green’s actions, notably sticking with the same opening batting tandem of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, had come under close scrutiny from former cricket players and the media.

The 28-year-old admitted Pakistan didn’t get off to a great start after the semi-final victory over New Zealand, but he was certain his team will turn things around.

Pakistan Would Win

Babar said, “I owe my team’s management for keeping me inspired. Cricket has its ups and downs, but I had faith that we would win. According to Babar, who struck 53 runs off just 42 balls in the final game, Pakistan would give their all despite the opposition.

Babar wrote a letter to his critics in the interim. Each member of the team is impacted by any criticism of the team leader. He said that since the club has advanced to the championship, the detractors should be happy. You can criticize, but try not to be too personal, he said.

Pakistan To Get $500M For Uplift Program From AIIB

Pakistan to receive $500 million from AIIB for BRACE, says Ishaq Dar.

An AIIB & Asian Development Bank funding initiative called BRACE (Building Resilience with Active Countercyclical Expenditures Program) aims to mitigate the social effects of economic disaster.

Dar posted on his Twitter account, “This money will be received by State Bank of Pakistan within November 2022.”

In the midst of disastrous floods and disruptions to the global supply chain, the ADB granted $1.5 billion in financing in October to assist Pakistan in promoting social protection, enhancing food security, & supporting employment for citizens.

The $2.3 billion government program for countercyclical development expenditures, which aims to mitigate the consequences of external shocks like the Russian invasion of Ukraine, will benefit from the financing. The financing is offered under ADB’s BRACE (Building Resilience through Active Countercyclical Expenditures) Program.

External shocks have hampered Pakistan’s recovery from the Covid-19 outbreak

According to ADB Director General for Central and West Asia Yevgeniy Zhukov.

Rising business expenses and rising living costs are having an effect on millions of Pakistanis, especially the poor and disadvantaged. The government would be helped by the ADB program to deal with the effects of high prices, rising food insecurity, sluggish economic growth, and decreasing income for vulnerable populations, Many of whom are still suffering from the destruction caused by the floods, according to the official.

“The initiative is part of a comprehensive and well-planned aid package. According to ADB Director for Public Management, Financial Sector, and Trade Tariq Niazi, it will assist the government in coping with the effects of the immediate shocks to the economy while continuing the structural reforms required to enhance the country’s medium- to long-term macroeconomic prospects.

To ensure that our assistance through policy dialogue, technical support, and program lending is well-coordinated and that, ultimately, we are able to assist the government in strengthening Pakistan‘s resilience to shocks, we are closely collaborating with the International Monetary Fund and other development partners.

Veon planning To Wireless Operator Sell Its Tower Assets In Pakistan

Wireless Operator Veon planning To Sell Its Tower Assets In Pakistan

Veon is in advanced discussions to sell its power assets in Pakistan.

Veon owns 10,000 to 12,000 towers in Pakistan, with each tower valued at $60,000 to $80,000, depending on interest rates. Veon is a communications network that was founded in Moscow in 1992.

It has since grown into a global communications behemoth headquartered in the Netherlands. It has over 127 million customers in nine countries, according to the records. Without a doubt, the company, which is currently Russia’s largest operator, has only recently begun the selling process. However, the company’s share price has dropped by two-thirds this year as a result of the various consequences of the Ukraine war. Not only that, but Veon sold 15,000 towers in Russia to Service Telecom LLC for nearly $970 million last year.

Veon’s Group Chief Executive Officer

Furthermore, Veon’s Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu reportedly stated that the sale process is nearing completion. Saudi Telecom Co.unit, a consortium between Pakistan’s TPL Corp and UAE-based TASC Towers, and Pakistani conglomerate Engro are among the tower bidders, according to the report. However, Veon and Saudi Telecom representatives declined to comment. The TPL-TASC consortium and Engro officials did not respond immediately to requests for comment. None of the companies responded about purchasing the towers or made a suitable comment about the potential deal.

Furthermore, it is important to note that TPL REIT Management Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of TPL Properties Limited. Decided to form a strategic alliance with the UAE-based TASC towers. An Infrastructure Real Estate Investment Trust is used to acquire a Telecom Tower Infrastructure Company (REIT). TPL Properties Limited owns 100% of TPL REIT Management Company Limited. TPL RMC and TASC participated in an auction to acquire the most Telecom Tower Infrastructure Company shares through an Infra REIT as a consortium. The goal was to obtain all necessary clearances and authorizations from regulatory authorities.

Story Behind The Collapsed Deal

Veon and Global Telecom Holding (GTH) agreed to sell their Pakistan tower business for nearly $940 million in 2017. Tanzanite, a power operating firm owned by Malaysia’s doctors’ group and Dawood Hercules Corporation, agreed to buy Veon and GTH’s subsidiary in Pakistan. Jazz and its wholly-owned tower company, Deodar, which had a portfolio of over 13,000 telecommunication towers, were among them.

Unfortunately, the companies are still waiting to see if they can obtain the necessary regulatory approvals to close the potential deal.
