Sindh mandates jail for unvaccinated kids’ parents; Rs. 50,000 fine.
The Sindh Immunization and Epidemics Control Act 2023 has come into force after the signature of the Governor of Sindh. It is mandatory to vaccinate children.

According to the Act, spreading false information about vaccination and immunization can result in 6 months imprisonment, a fine of Rs 1 lakh, or both.
The Sindh Electronic Immunization Registry will be established as per the new law and no hospital or other institution will issue a birth certificate without reporting the vaccine.
