Dengue Epidemic in Karachi Escalate: 84 New Cases Reported in 24 Hours

 

Dengue epidemic escalates in Karachi with 84 new cases in last 24 hours.

After the monsoon rains, where floods have caused havoc on one side, Karachi, the largest city of the country, is affected by the dengue epidemic. Karachi has been the most affected by the epidemic in Sindh, 84 cases were reported in Karachi in the last twenty-four hours.

District Sharqi is the most affected by dengue, where 28 cases have been reported. 21 new cases of dengue have been reported in the central district and 22 in the southern district.

Apart from this, 9 cases have been reported in Gharbi district, 7 in Kemari district, 2 in Korangi district and 2 in Malir district while 2 cases have been reported in Hyderabad and 1 case in Larkana.

Since September 1, 518 cases of dengue have been reported in Karachi. Last month also, 1 thousand 265 dengue patients were reported in the city of Quaid. A total of 3 thousand 97 cases have been reported in Sindh this year.

Medical experts say that dengue cases’s are being reported more, there is no space for patients in private hospitals, dengue is spreading very fast in Karachi.

Health experts appealed to citizens to be careful and said that clean water should not be collected in houses, mosquito spray must be used.
