Chief of German Army Lieutenant General Alfonas Mais met with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ).
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said two Army leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and defence cooperation.
The intention to strengthen bilateral ties in all areas was repeated by General Asim and Lt GeneralAlfonas Mais.
A general in the German armed forces praised the Pakistani Army’s accomplishments in the fight against the threat of terrorism and ongoing initiatives to bring peace and security to the region.
Berlin and Islamabad have military relations, and the two countries’ troops participated in various training exercises and even shared information about defense.
