The Punjab government introduced electric rickshaws in Lahore in the past days, after the success of which, now electric bikes will also be introduced.
In this regard, the Caretaker Transport Minister of Punjab, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, said regarding the electric bike that there is a big problem of fog in Punjab.
The main reason for this is transport, among which the most notable are rickshaws and motorcycles.
In order to overcome this problem, we introduced electric rickshaws in the past in the style of China and Thailand and now we are going to introduce electric bikes as well.
He said that our effort is to implement the EV charging system in the entire Punjab.
In addition, pupils would receive one to two lakh inexpensive electric bikes throughout the initial phase.
It should be mentioned that the transportation department and a nearby private enterprise worked together to establish this initiative, which involves electric bikes and rickshaws.
There will be a major decrease in noise and air pollution thanks to these motorcycles and rickshaws.
The said electric rickshaws can easily travel up to 150 km on a single charge, which will help save fuel costs.
