How to reduce depression?

According to international sources, a study conducted at Weifeng Medical University in China has revealed that exposure to bright light can help reset the body clock.

The study looked at 15 trials conducted in 7 different countries between 2005 and 2022. These trials looked at light therapy as a treatment for Alzheimer’s.

Patients with mild to moderate dementia, aged between 60 and 85 years, participated in the study.

The study found that light therapy improved the sleep duration of study participants and required them to stay awake for less time in their beds, while light therapy had less beneficial effects on long-term sleep quality.

Due to nerve damage, people with Alzheimer’s disease have reduced sensitivity and need higher amounts of light.

According to research, dementia patients reported a reduction in depression and a reduction in the severity of depressive symptoms after light therapy.

Seventy percent of patients have sleep problems in the early stages of the disease.
