Dolly Sohi passed away at age of 48 after 6-month battle with cancer.
Actress Dolly Sohi, who showed the essence of acting in dramas like ‘Jhink’, ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’, ‘Kasuti Zindagi Ki’ and ‘Kusham’, passed away on March 8 at the Apollo Hospital in Mumbai at 4 pm.
Confirming the death of the actress, her brother Mannu revealed that Dolly was diagnosed with cervical cancer 6 months ago and was undergoing treatment. Due to illness and weakness, Dolly also left his play Jhank in the middle.
Giving a more surprising revelation about Dolly’s death, Mannu said that ‘her other sister Amandeep had joint pain a month ago, due to which she was also under treatment at Apollo Hospital. Amandeep passed away a day ago and Dolly Sohi also died within 24 hours.
It should be noted that Amandeep was also an Indian actress, but the more famous of the two sisters was Dolly Sohi.
Dolly Sohi leaves behind a 14-year-old daughter, Amelie, while her family is reeling from the death of both sisters together. Mannu further informed that the last rites of both the sisters will be performed in Mumbai.
