Iran Developed Hypersonic Ballistic Missile

Iran announces successful development of hypersonic ballistic missile.

“This Iran Ballistic Missile can manoeuvre into and out of the atmosphere and travels at a high speed. It represents a significant generational development in the area of missiles and will target the adversary’s superior anti-missile systems “It was reported that commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.

Hypersonic missiles have a complicated trajectory and may travel at least five times faster than the speed of sound, making them challenging to intercept.

There haven’t been any reports of Iran testing such a missile, despite the Islamic Republic of Iran has a sizable domestic armaments sector.

But the US decision to leave the nuclear agreement that Tehran signed with other nations in 2015 was made in 2018 by then-President Donald Trump in part because of worries over Iran’s ballistic missile programme.

According to official media, Iran this week reported testing the Ghaem 100, a first-of-its-kind three-stage space launch vehicle that can deliver 80 kg (180 pounds) satellites into orbits 500 km (300 miles) above the planet’s surface.

Given that it thinks space launch vehicles may be used to convey a nuclear weapon, the United States has labelled such operations as “destabilising.”
