Masjid Nabawi Itikaf Registration has Started

Registration start for pilgrims intending to perform Itikaf at Medina.

According to a recent announcement by the agency for the affairs of Masjid Nabawi in Madinah, Zirun, the Zaireen app will now be used to registration for Itikaf.

More than 10 million pilgrims visited the holy region during the month of Ramadan. In addition, pilgrims want to stay in the mosque for worship for the last ten days of Ramadan, which is known as “Itikaf” in Islam.

Furthermore, it has been stated that the issuance of Itikaf permits will be for the convenience of worshipers as per the capacity of the mosque.

To ensure that every pilgrim can perform their religious rituals with ease and comfort, the authorities have earlier clarified that pilgrims will be allowed to perform Umrah only once during the holy month of Ramadan.

The government of Saudi Arabia is making every effort to complete the preparations for the Itikaf and Umrah seasons and has also allocated specific places for everyone who is planning to do the Itikaf.

Preparations for Hajj

After the Umrah season ends, authorities will begin preparations for the biggest annual Hajj event, during which the kingdom will welcome more than 2.3 million pilgrims and use apps like Nashaq and other digital portals to stay in the kingdom.

Pakistan has a quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Haj in 2023. For the first time after the Covid, the Saudi Arabian administration has increased the number of pilgrims.

It is important to note that a 50% quota has been allocated to Pakistan in the Sponsorship Scheme, a special facility provided to Hajj pilgrims for acquiring foreign currency from abroad.

This sponsorship scheme is kept in the specific dollar account of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
