KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast light to Moderate Rainfall in Karachi and other parts of Sindh, from March 16 to 20.
A westerly wave is expected to hit the higher portions of the country and rainfall in karachi and other cities on March 16 and last until March 20, according to the Meteorological department (MET Office).
On March 17 to 19, the Met Office predicted wind-dust-thunderstorm-rain in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas, Dadu, and Karachi due to the effect of this weather system.
“Rainfall is anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Haripur, Karak, Peshawar, Kohat, Charsada, Nowshera, Swabi, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, and Lahore are all likely to experience rain, wind, dust, and thunderstorms between March 16 and March 20. While in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Khushab, Mianwali, Sargodha, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Kot Addu, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, and Bahawalpur,” it was added.
All relevant authorities have been urged by the weather department to maintain vigilance during the predicted period in order to prevent any unfavourable circumstances.
