Pak Navy Seizes Drugs Worth Rs 4 Billion in Arabian Sea

Pak Navy successfully stopped a significant drug smuggling operation.

On Tuesday during a regional marine security operation, Pak Navy seized a startling 280 kg of crystal meth, which has a global market value of more than Rs. 4 billion.

According to a Pakistan Navy spokeswoman, the confiscated chemical was given to law enforcement for use in subsequent investigations.

In order to stop the drug smuggling activity, the Pakistan Navy monitored the seas carefully and effectively, which led to this seizure.

They used two PN ships and an aviation unit in a similar operation in November to seize around Rs. 8.6 billion (5,800 Kg) worth of drugs.

During maritime security operations in the Northern Arabian Sea, two suspected dhows (small boats) were detained and examined by navy ships, according to the information. The inspection led to the seizure of a sizable quantity of drugs. After that, the dhows were given to the police for use in further judicial processes.
