Pakistan To Issue First-Ever Patient Guidance For Haemophilia

World Haemophilia Federation aiding international patient treatment.

A national conference on hemophilia treatment guidelines was conducted under the aegis of the Haemophilia Welfare Society Karachi in this respect, and medical experts from various cities throughout the nation convened.

As per clinical personnel, this guideline will enable physicians and other medical personnel to treat and care for hemophilia patients in conformance with worldwide criteria, and hemophilia patients will also be able to lead normal life like healthy patients.

Raheel Ahmed, the chief executive officer of the Haemophilia Welfare Society Karachi, spoke at the session and emphasized that since there is no haemophilia hospital in Pakistan and no federal govt treatment center for such patients, those who are afflicted and their families have to travel far and wide for care.

Over 1,000 of the anticipated 5,500 haemophilia patients in Sindh alone, according to him, have enrolled with the Haemophilia Welfare Society.

The presenters on this occasion applauded the World Federation of Haemophilia’s humanitarian efforts in giving free injections to sufferers in Pakistan.

A cutting-edge hemophilia treatment facility should be built in Pakistan, according to medical experts. This recommendation should be promptly adopted and put into effect so that patients with hemophilia can undergo care.

The Hemophilia Women’s Group also honored Dr. Durre Naz with a crown during the ceremony in appreciation of her accomplishments. Also gave shields to various visitors and speakers.

What is haemophilia?

Hemophilia is usually an inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly. This can lead to spontaneous bleeding as well as bleeding following injuries or surgery. Blood contains many proteins called clotting factors that can help to stop bleeding.
