PMD Predicted Heavy Rain in Karachi for the Next 2 Days

The Department of Meteorology has predicted heavy rain in Karachi on Thursday and Friday. At the same time, the weather is hot in most districts of the country, while there is a possibility of rain with wind and thunder in some areas.

The Department of Meteorology has given good news to the heat-stressed citizens of Karachi and said that on Thursday and Friday, there is a possibility of heavy rain with some drizzle, some light, and some thunder in different areas of the city.

The Meteorological Department says that due to the clouds formed in the hub and the northern part of Karachi, wind will blow in the suburbs of Karachi and dusty winds will blow in other areas of the city.

On Wednesday afternoon, there was heavy rain with strong winds in Sirjani Town, Gadap, and adjacent city areas.

Yesterday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Jacobabad and Sibi at 48 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, 37 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bhakkar 47, Dadu, Kot Addu 46, Khairpur 45, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan 44, Islamabad 43, Muzaffarabad 42, Karachi 40, Quetta and Gilgit.

On the other hand, a rain-delivering monsoon system from the Arabian Sea will enter Punjab today, which will cause heavy rains. According to the Meteorological Department, the rains that started on Thursday will continue for five days.

In this regard, the relevant departments have issued an alert to other institutions, including the Department of Local Government, Vasa, because of the possible threat of urban flood.

Islamabad

There is a possibility of rain with wind in Islamabad and surrounding areas.

On the other hand, the Department of Meteorology says that during the next 24 hours, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most parts of the country, however, there will be windy, gusty winds at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Punjab and Sindh. Thunderstorms are likely.

According to the Department of Meteorology, Islamabad and Gardu Nawah are expected to be partly cloudy, and there is a possibility of rain in the evening and night with wind, gusts, and thunder.

The weather will remain hot and dry in most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, but there will be thunderstorms at a few places in Kohat, Kirk, Bannu, Tank, Waziristan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, Khyber, Peshawar, Bajaur and Karam, showers and thunderstorms are expected.

The weather will remain hot and dry in most of the districts of Punjab province, however Murree, Guliyat Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore and Nankana Sahib, Kot Addu, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Leh and Deraghazi Khan are likely to receive rain at few places with gale force winds and thundershowers.

Weather forecasters say that the weather will remain hot and dry in most of the districts of Balochistan province, however, there is a possibility of rain at a few places with wind, gusts, and thunderstorms in Khuzdar, Awaran, Lasbela, and Gir two districts.

The weather will remain hot and dry in most of the districts of Sindh province, while the coastal areas will be hot and humid. Wind, gusty winds, and thundershowers are likely to occur in Jacobabad, Larkana, and Dadu.

Apart from this, it is expected to remain partly cloudy in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with strong winds and thundershowers in a few places.
