In the accident that took place on Monday, Iqbal’s Toyota Land Cruiser collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a female student and her father and injuring five others.

Natasha Iqbal has been named as the CEO of Metro Capital Limited and JSDN Electric Limited, which are both part of her husband’s Metro Power Group. Social media backlash has focused on accusations of favoritism due to her wealthy background.

Psychiatric Examination

Natasha Iqbal was checked for drug use at Jinnah Hospital after her arrest and then transferred to the psychiatric unit for additional evaluation. Natasha was described as confused and not in a stable mental state in a court report submitted by her lawyer, Amir Mansoor, and Natasha has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for five years.

The allegation is to cover up that Iqbal’s urine and blood samples were not immediately tested, which could have influenced the results. Senior Superintendent of Police Alina Rajpar attributed the delay to a public holiday, while Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odhu said the hospital was responsible for submitting the sample.

Conflicting statements by officials about the handling of the samples have fueled the controversy. Police Surgeon Dr. Samia Syed Tariq confirmed that the samples were collected and given to the investigating officer.

The case has attracted public attention, particularly given Natasha Iqbal’s role as a director in several companies and her connections to Karachi’s business elite. Despite facing serious charges, including causing death by negligence, the court sent Natasha Iqbal to jail on a one-day physical remand.
