Qatar and Bahrain Relations Restored After Six Years

Qatar and Bahrain officially restore tie after six-year; Arab nations.

After a gap of more than three years, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt lifted their sanctions against Qatar. All Arab countries except Bahrain have resumed travel and trade now.

According to a statement from the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the historic development will further strengthen the Gulf region.

Bahrain’s crown prince called Qatar’s emir earlier this year to discuss matters of mutual interest, signaling a normalization of bilateral ties.

Gulf countries severed diplomatic ties with Qatar in 2017, accusing Qatar of supporting extremism and terrorism.
