Rain Continues to Pelt Lahore, 4 People Died and 15 Injured

Severe rain in Lahore; 4 dead, 15 injured in roof and wall collapses.

In the Lahore city Amar Sidhu neighborhood, a house’s roof fell owing to heavy rain, died four individuals, including three children under the age of 10, according to a statement from Rescue 1122.

Second kid, 10 years old, was hurt and taken to the Lahore General Hospital.

14 more persons were hurt in a second incident when a wall of the Government Mozang Teaching Hospital that was next to another building collapsed.

The injured were brought to Ganga Ram Hospital, according to interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who also stated that their condition was critical.

He claimed that although certain ministers had been sent to the divisional headquarters, others had been assigned divisions to oversee.

In the provincial capital on Wednesday, record-breaking monsoon rains led to urban floods. Naqvi claimed that water ponds have formed on the roads in Lahore as a result of urban flooding and a record-breaking 272mm of rain in only nine hours.

The downpour is also blamed for at least six other fatalities.
