Saudi Arabia allowing Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to citizenship.
A royal order approving the modification of Article Eight of the Saudi Nationality Law. Which gives the Prime Minister the authority to confer citizenship, was released in January.
According to a tweet from the Makkah Al Mukarramah region’s official Twitter account, which cited the Ministry of Interior, the directive was made into law on March 13.

The Saudi Nationality Law’s Article Eight will be changed to read, “Saudi nationality may be given by order of the Prime Minister based on a proposal from the Minister of Interior.” Once it has been reviewed in accordance with Royal Decree No. (M/88) dated 6/11/1444 AH.
The Prime Minister will have the authority to confer citizenship to foreign people under new regulations that are scheduled to become law after being published in the Kingdom’s Official Gazette.
