What is a Super Blue Moon?

According to NASA’s report, a super blue moon occurs when the full moon is observed twice in the same month. The difference is that the full moon occurs at the beginning of the month since there are days left in the second cycle, so the second full moon also occurs in the same month.

The report states that this process happens every two to three years, if the full moon is visible on the first or second day of the month, the second time is on the 30th or 31st.

Why is it Called a Blue Moon?

Smaller particles in the air, such as smoke and dust, push back the red light, making the moon appear blue.

What are a supermoon and a blue moon?

A supermoon usually appears larger than a normal moon because it is closer to Earth, while it is also called a supermoon because it is at its closest point in its orbit around Earth.

Known for being an ‘extra’ in a blue moon month, this moon, generally considered a seasonal moon, can appear every 2 to 1 and a half years.
