Teenage Girl Kidnapped in Lahore Johar Town

Teenage girl kidnapped Johar Town in Lahore, discovered on Thursday.

On the complaint of the missing teenage girl father, Subah Sadiq, the Johar Town police filed a case under Section 365B of the Pakistan Penal Code (kidnapped, abducting, or enticing a lady to compel for marriage, etc.) against unnamed suspects two days after the occurrence.

The complainant informed the police that his daughter Khadija, who is about 15 years old, visited the Jinnah Housing Scheme on July 25 but hasn’t been back since. Her father searched for the girl as she went missing in his personal capacity but was unsuccessful.

Further proceedings are currently being conducted while police have not provided any new information on the case.

While campaigners voice concern, young women in Pakistan continue to face mental, physical, and even sexual violence. Recent years have seen an increase in kidnapping, abduction, rape, domestic violence, and assault cases.
