Titanic returns to theaters, romantic comeback by Paramount Pictures.
To commemorate its 25th anniversary, a refurbish version of James Cameron’s Titanic is returning to cinemas. This year’s Valentine’s Day will be herald by a brief exhibition of the legendary disaster movie on Friday, February 10.
After Disney announce a re-release of the box office smash in 3D, 4K HDR, and high-frame abroad, Paramount bought the domestic rights to the movie last year. In recognition of the catastrophe film’s 25th anniversary, which observes in 2022, Disney schedule the re-release for February 10 this year as well.
Fans will have the opportunity to see Jack and Rose’s (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) love tale on numerous occasions. The romance and disaster movie receive a second theatrical release in 2012. A record-breaking $67 million was made in the first week of the 2012 re-release, and Titanic return to theaters in 2017 to mark its 20th anniversary.
At Disney’s CineEurope presentation in Barcelona, it reveales that the movie’s remaster release in 3D 4K will take place in 2022, continuing the tradition of showing it in theaters to commemorate the anniversary.
Three hours and fifteen minutes long, the film has raked in over $2.2 billion globally.
It held that title until Avatar, which brought in $2.74 billion in 2009, surpassed it as the most profitable movie of all time.
Since its first broadcast in 1997, Titanic has enjoyed a successful run; actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have even catapulted into mega-stars and well-known faces thanks to the film.
