Netflix & YRF’s maiden series ‘The Railway Men’ to stream in November.
Netflix will begin streaming The Railway Men on November 18. Following the signing of a long-term creative deal by the Indian content firm, The Railway Men was announced earlier in September that it will be available for streaming on Netflix later this year.
The series, scripted by Aayush Gupta and directed by rookie Shiv Rawail, is set against the backdrop of the 1984 Bhopal gas leak disaster. Leading parts in the four-episode series are played by R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Babil Khan, and Divyenndu.
The unsung heroes of the Bhopal gas leak catastrophe are those who are unaware of it: the Indian railway workers stationed at Bhopal station who prevented hundreds of innocent lives from being lost during that tragic situation.
The tragedy, a chemical mishap that exposed hundreds of thousands to deadly fumes, claimed the lives of at least 3,787 people. There are rumors that the number of deaths is actually far greater.
