Zayn Malik claimed that due to some internal politics and personal disagreements, he decided it was time for him to depart.
The Pillowtalk singer said: “I think I’ve known for a minute” during an interview with Alex Cooper for the podcast Call Her Daddy.
I don’t want to get into too much detail, but there was a lot of political manoeuvring going on, and I was aware of something when some individuals refused to sign contracts or engaged in specific actions.
There were undoubtedly underlying concerns, such as those in our friendships, the 30-year-old singer continued. If I’m being entirely honest, we got tired of each other after spending five years together every day. We were therefore near.
As reported by Yahoomovies, the former member of One Direction also spoke about how anxious he still feels while performing on stage by himself.
“I’ve been away from the stage for a while, so I’m still nervous but I also feel this energy,” the performer said. I want to get up on stage, return to the scene, and provide what I feel like I have to offer.
My fan base has always been supportive in that regard, I can say that much.
“They always say something to the effect of, We’re here, We got you. For instance, we have you when you’re ready,” he continued.
We intend to visit and enjoy your music. That is something for which I must be really grateful, and I am. Undoubtedly, I sense that affection. I am prepared to validate their arguments.
