Action Started Against Kite Flyers with Help of Drone Cameras

Action against the kite flyers and kite sellers across the province.

After the serious incidents of deaths of citizens due to bloody cords in Punjab, action has been taken against kite makers, kite flyers and kite sellers across the province with the help of drone cameras.

After the continuous deaths due to stringing of kites, the Punjab government was facing public pressure to take action against kite flyers, upon which Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz took strict actions and directed actions againsts all kites flyers and kite sellers without discrimination.

In the light of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s directives, strict crackdown is underway against kite making factories, kite sellers and kite flyers across Punjab.

279 cases were registered against kite flying and kite selling in Faisalabad during 48 hours, while 280 people including 32 manufacturers and shopkeepers have been arrested.

According to CPO Faisalabad, so far 2578 cases have been registered and 2604 accused have been arrested, including 11 big manufacturers, 821 shopkeepers and 1767 people.

According to the CPO, drone cameras were used to arrest the accused, while 25,000 security antennas were installed on motorcycles to prevent bloodshed.
