3 Changes as Pakistan Announce Squad for 3rd T20 Against New Zealand

Pakistan announce the playing XI for 3rd T20 against the New Zealand.

The playing eleven for Pakistan third T20 international match against New Zealand, which is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) in Dunedin, was revealed on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that Abbas Afridi was ruled out with a low-grade abdominal wall muscle strain, and Usama Mir and Aamer Jamal were omitted from the team.

In the third Twenty20 International match against New Zealand, Muhammad Wasim Junior, Mohammad Nawaz, and Zaman Khan will be competing.

Abbas Afridi’s scan revealed no evidence of a serious injury earlier today, according to the PCB, and “he will be managed symptomatically.”

The governing body of cricket stated that Abbas’s availability for the final two matches will be announced later.

Afridi and Haris Rauf were the team’s top wicket takers with five wickets apiece, despite the fact that they had been losing games. His removal would be a significant blow to the side.

In the second Twenty20 international, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 21 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Despite half-centuries from Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman, the tourists lost a commanding advantage in their run chase when they were bowled for 173 in the final over in response to New Zealand’s 194-8.

The Black Caps’ victory came at a price, as captain Kane Williamson was doubtful to play the rest of the five-match series after retiring injured while batting.

Similar to New Zealand’s 46-run victory in Friday’s opening game in Auckland, Finn Allen spearheaded an aggressive batting attack once again in this encounter.

Pakistan’s Playing XI

Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (vice-captain,), Azam Khan (wicket-keeper), Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Saim Ayub, Muhammad Wasim Junior, Mohammad Nawaz and Zaman Khan.
