The news agency claimed that the migrants on board the boat were going to Italy, they were Tunisian citizens, all on the boat were trying to enter Italy illegally.
Tunisia’s National Guard said it was gathering more information about them. The search for the missing persons is ongoing.
It should be noted that despite the strict restrictions of the government, illegal immigration from the coast of Tunisia is increasing.
