5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Southwestern Kashmir

Earthquake shocks of magnitude 5.3 in different areas of Azad Kashmir.

The Earthquake tremors of magnitude 5.3 were felt in different areas of Azad Kashmir, people came out of their houses to recite Kalma Tayyaba.

Earthquake tremors were felt in Jhelum Valley, Chinari, Hattian Bala, Athmuqam, Kundal Shahi, Keren, Sharda, Keil, Grace Valley, Neelam Valley, Lipa Valley and surrounding areas.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, the depth of the tremors was 20 kilometers (12 miles).

There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties, but officials are keeping a close watch on the situation. Emergency services are on high alert, and residents have been advised to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
